KAKA AND SCHWEINSTEIGER SHOW MUTUAL RESPECT AFTER MLS FIXTURE

As Orlando City and Chicago Fire clashed in the MLS, Brazilian and German stars in Kaka and Bastian Schweinsteiger showed mutual respect for one another as the game ended in a barren draw.

This was the first time both stars faced off in the league.

Schweinsteiger joined the MLS in January after agreeing to exit Manchester United while Kaka, who is the highest paid in the league – has been in America since 2014.

Both stars are well decorated with titles for club, country and personally. The 32-year old Bastian is a German legend with 23 trophies for Bayern Munich and Germany. After his disappointing spell at Old Trafford, he moved to Chicago. He has scored twice in seven games so far, helping the team to second place on the log.

On the other hand, Kaka won the Ballon d’Or in 2007. After a successful spell at Real Madrid he returned to his boyhood club AC Milan. He moved to the American top flight league from Milan where he has firmly established himself. He has netted 22 goals in 66 games and continues to help the Florida based outfit.

As the game ended, both players were pictured smiling, hugging each other and chatting for a while. The influx of big names as these has helped the MLS gain global attention while developing the quality of play.
