RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

AC Milan returned to winning ways after a 2-1 win over Genoa on Monday night. This result means that Clarence Seedorf’s men have won three consecutive matches, which has seen them rise to 11th place in the table.

Even though they still remain far away from even thinking about Europa league qualification places, midfielder Kaka says that the club are slowly starting to find their feet under the new manager. There were even rumours in the last few weeks about Seedorf being sacked before the end of the season and being replaced by former striker Filippo Inzaghi.

However, Seedorf has just about managed to dispel the rumours for the time being after managing three consecutive victories. Even more important is the fact that they have come against top teams like Fiorentina and Genoa. Kaka has been showing much better form than he has up until now, while January signing Honda has also been playing much better. Milan are now unbeaten in the last four matches and they will go into the encounter against Catania during the weekend with a lot of confidence. This improved run of results also puts them in a good position ahead of the home derby against Inter Milan in the next few weeks.

“At the start of the game it was tough and congested, we could not find space. But when [Philippe] Mexes gave me the ball, I was able to pick out Taarabt. He was very good at beating his man and did well to score. When asked about how tough the game was, he responded, ‘’Yes, we knew it would be a tough game and it was.’” The team has play well though and we know what we are doing. We now have three wins in a row and four positive results. We are coming together,” said Kaka.
