REAL LOOK TO OFFLOAD
The Spanish club Real Madrid will once again be looking to offload the Brazilian midfielder Kaka in the January transfer window. The future of the Brazilian has always been speculation over the last few seasons prior to every transfer window.
This time around, it is no different, as he continues to be linked with several clubs across the world. The former AC Milan man has found playing time limited at the Santiago Bernabeu under the management of José Mourinho. This in addition with the huge wages of the Brazilian mean that Mourinho will be looking to trim the wage bill more than anything else.
As a result, he has been linked with offloading the 30-year-old to either a megarich club in Europe or back to Brazil. There are very few clubs in the world that can afford the wage demands of the former AC Milan star, who managed to win the 2007 world player of the year award. However, his time at Real Madrid has been blighted by a number of injury problems, which have taken his pace out of the game. Even though Kaka has been much more involved in the first-team than in previous seasons, it is still thought that Mourinho is interested in selling him.
Kaka recently managed to get back into the national team after a string of performances for Real Madrid. It is thought that the 2014 FIFA World Cup will be his final opportunity to play until the major competition for Brazil. He has not been picked by the international team for the last two seasons. Despite all this good run of form enjoyed by the 30-year-old, Mourinho sees him as an expensive player of the squad. His current wages could be used to fund the new contract of the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo.
